
Report on “Experiential Learning in DWPS Kindergarten: Activity – Show and Tell”
We believe in the transformative power of experiential learningat Delhi World Public School (DWPS), Rajkot, which fosters active engagement and meaningful connections with concepts. DWPS Rajkot Kindergarten department organized a “Show and Tell” activity to enhance students’ learning outcomes through hands-on and verbal interactions.
Learning Objective
- To develop students’ communication skills by encouraging them to describe an object of their choice.
- To enhance creativity and confidence through self-expression and active participation.
- To build vocabulary and sentence formation skills in a practical and engaging way.
Learning Outcome
- Students confidently presented and spoke about their chosen objects, demonstrating improved verbal articulation and sentence construction.
- They showcased enhanced listening skills by attentively engaging with their peers’ presentations.
- The activity fostered a sense of curiosity and improved their ability to relate classroom learning to real-world objects and contexts.
Teacher’s Recommendations for Future Activities
- Incorporate Themes: Assign specific themes (e.g., “My Favorite Toy,” “Nature’s Wonders”) to align the activity with broader curriculum goals and help students focus their ideas.
- Parental Involvement: Encourage parents to assist their children in preparing for the activity, enhancing the home-school connection.
- Feedback Mechanism: Provide constructive feedback to students during the session to motivate them and address areas for improvement, such as voice modulation and sentence structure.
