DWPS Rajkot Kindergarten students visited to the Super Market. It was an enriching experiential learning opportunity for our young learners.  DWPS Rajkot firmly believes that this hands-on experience not only fostered practical life skills but also instilled a sense of responsibility and awareness about the process of shopping.

Our primary objective was to provide them with a real-life experience, helping them understand the value of money and how to make purchases wisely. Our prime focus of this visit was to introduce the young learners to the concept of money, the process of purchasing goods, and the importance of making well-versed choices.

DWPS Rajkot teachers guided the students during visit to Supermarket. Students explored the Supermarket. The teachers explained the concept of money, emphasizing its value and the need to handle it responsibly. They demonstrated the process of selecting items, checking prices, and making payments.

We observed that during the visit, the children actively participated in selecting items, comparing prices, and making decisions. The children eagerly participated, grasping the practical aspects of shopping. It was a valuable educational outing that contributed to our students’ holistic development.

We believe that the supermarket visit would be an enriching experience for DWPS students and it will surely develop a deeper understanding of everyday transactions and the value of money. It was a valuable step in preparing these young minds for the world outside the classroom.

Experiential learning plays a crucial role in a student’s education. It helps them apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations, enhancing their understanding and retention of concepts. One such instance was the supermarket visit organized by DWPS Rajkot.

The visit aimed to promote experiential learning by giving students a hands-on experience of shopping in a real-world setting. The students were divided into groups and given a task to shop for a specific list of groceries within a given budget.

During the visit, students actively engaged in various activities. They compared prices, read labels, and made decisions based on quality and quantity. They learned about budgeting, prioritization, and making informed choices. Interacting with supermarket staff also gave them insights into the retail industry.
