Delhi World Public School (DWPS), Rajkot has taken a significant step towards strengthening 21st-century digital skills among students by conducting LibreOffice training developed by IIT Bombay (Mumbai) under the Spoken Tutorial Programme, an initiative supported by the Ministry of Education (formerly MHRD), Government of India.

Delhi World Public School (DWPS), Rajkot has strengthened its commitment to future-ready education by partnering with IIT Bombay under the Spoken Tutorial Programme to introduce LibreOffice and 21st-century digital skills at the school level.

The programme was conducted as part of a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between DWPS Rajkot and IIT Bombay, aimed at introducing industry-relevant, future-ready courses at the school level. Through this collaboration, DWPS Rajkot becomes part of a national academic movement that promotes technology-enabled learning, open-source tools, and digital literacy in alignment with NEP 2020.

The LibreOffice course, developed by IIT Bombay, equips students with essential competencies in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and data handling, using globally accepted open-source software. The training emphasizes practical application, self-paced learning, and certification—helping students build confidence and digital independence at an early age.

This initiative reflects DWPS Rajkot’s commitment to integrating higher-education expertise into school education, ensuring that students are exposed to authentic learning platforms used by universities and professionals. The Spoken Tutorial Programme also supports skill standardization and scalability, making quality technical education accessible across India.
