DWPS Rajkot Creates History: Five Students Shine Among India’s Top 100 Young Scientific Talents in VSSF SPOT100 National Finals 2025–26

Delhi World Public School Rajkot Students Attended Prestigious National Orientation at ISRO and Receive Recognition from India’s Leading Scientists

Delhi World Public School (DWPS), Rajkot has added another glorious milestone to its journey of academic excellence by securing five national qualifiers in the prestigious VSSF SPOT100 Final 2025–26, a flagship scientific talent identification programme conducted by the Vikram Sarabhai Science Foundation (VSSF) in collaboration with ISRO.

This exceptional achievement places five students of DWPS Rajkot among India’s Top 100 Young Scientific Talents, reflecting the school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing scientific curiosity, innovation, and research-oriented learning.

Following their remarkable success, the qualified students participated in an exclusive National Orientation Programme, where they had the privilege of interacting with some of India’s most distinguished scientists and aerospace experts.

A Prestigious National Recognition

The orientation programme was a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience for the young achievers. During the event, the students were honoured by Dr. Indra Rajan, CEO of Vikram Sarabhai Science Foundation, along with Dr. Tessy Thomas, popularly known as India’s First Missile Woman. Dr. Tessy Thomas is the former Project Director of Agni-IV and Agni-V and former Director General of Aeronautical Systems, DRDO.

The students were later congratulated by Kala Das L, renowned Indian aerospace expert and former Chief Designer at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bengaluru, who inspired them to dream big and contribute to India’s scientific and technological progress.

One of the highlights of the orientation was an educational visit to ISTRAC (ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network), where students gained valuable insights into India’s space missions, satellite operations, mission control systems, and the remarkable achievements of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

The following students successfully qualified for the National SPOT100 Final and represented DWPS Rajkot with distinction:

• Aarav Kandpal – Class VI
• Yugma Ravani – Class IX
• Aarohi Khambra – Class V
• Ashmi Abhijit Panari – Class VII
• Yajana Kevalbhai Bharad – Class IV
