Delhi World Public School Rajkot organized an engaging Chess Competition to provide students with an opportunity to develop strategic thinking, concentration, decision-making, patience, and sportsmanship.
The competition was conducted across different categories and on a house-wise basis, encouraging wider participation and creating a healthy spirit of competition among students. Participants demonstrated thoughtful planning, tactical awareness, focus, and confidence as they competed against their peers.
Chess is more than a game of moves and pieces. It encourages students to think ahead, analyse situations, make decisions, learn from mistakes, and remain patient under pressure. Such competitions therefore contribute meaningfully to both intellectual and personal development.
The event reflected DWPS Rajkot’s commitment to providing students with opportunities to learn through sports, competition, teamwork, discipline, and strategic thinking. It was a stimulating experience that celebrated not only winning, but also participation, perseverance, and the joy of learning through chess.
