How do industrial visits help school students learn beyond textbooks?

Learning Beyond the Books: Class 6–10 Students Visit Balaji Wafers

An industrial visit to Balaji Wafers provided students of Classes 6 to 10 with a valuable opportunity to experience learning beyond the books. The visit connected classroom concepts with real-world processes and helped students understand how a large-scale food manufacturing organisation functions.

Students observed different stages of production, packaging, quality control, hygiene, safety, and distribution. Seeing these processes in a real industrial environment helped students understand how science, technology, mathematics, management, teamwork, and discipline come together in the workplace.

The experience also encouraged students to ask questions, observe carefully, and think about the people and processes behind everyday products. For young learners, such exposure can make classroom learning more meaningful by showing them how knowledge is applied beyond the school environment.

Delhi World Public School Rajkot believe that education should extend beyond textbooks and classrooms. Experiential learning, industrial exposure, observation, and real-world experiences help students develop curiosity, practical understanding, problem-solving skills, and awareness of future career possibilities.

The visit to Balaji Wafers was therefore not simply an educational excursion; it was an opportunity for students to see, experience, question, and learn from the world around them.
